CRL Britomart

Woods Glass over the last few months has been working on the restoration of the Britomart Station CPO (Chief Post Office) building. The CPO is a pivotal part of CRL – New Zealand’s largest-ever transport infrastructure that will transform public transport in Auckland by building the country’s first underground railway between Britomart and the Mt Eden Station 3.45 kilometres away.

This project features: internal sliding doors below high level glazed lights, ticketing barrier with mirror polished stainless steel posts, ballistic rated ticketing screens and column bases. This included the stainless work undertaken by Woods Glass which was based on the heritage features of the building and the refurbishment of the glazed bridge and balustrades that float over the top of the station below.
