Training

Woods Glass is committed to providing all staff with regular training to ensure they remain at the forefront of the glass and glazing industry.

This includes Health and Safety, standard operating procedures, first aid, and training in glass lifting machinery and equipment. At Woods Glass we ensure our staff are fully trained in the best practices for any machinery they will use in their work day. This includes fork hoists, Elevated Work Platforms, overhead gantry’s and glass vacuum lifters.

In any industry, trained staff are generally happier and safer. Lost time due to injury, absenteeism, staff turnover and long-term injuries have all being reduced as a result of our extensive training program.

Regular training enables more input from staff in what they see every day and how they think things can be done safer, better and smarter. It enables them to have a real impact on the health and safety of day-to-day tasks and it is a critical part of our safety culture at Woods Glass.

The investment in training enables Woods Glass staff to use and operate safely some of the most modern glazing equipment available today. As glass gets bigger and heavier, we need the correct equipment to ensure we have the capability to meet these requirements.
