Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre in Christchurch was one of the first buildings to be constructed following the 2011 earthquakes. The scale of this building is hard to comprehend from photos, the largest size of the structurally glazed (into a Thermosash PW1000 suite) ceramic fritted IGU glass panes is 5000 x 2200mm. The non fritted glass around the perimeter of the visitor centre is low iron laminated glass.

The internal partitioning, including windows, doors, auto sliders as well toilet glass cubicals were all supplied by Woods Glass.
